Preparing Clients with Complex Trauma for EMDR Therapy (Live Webinar - July 18th, 2025)
Training Overview
Working with clients who have complex trauma through the EMDR therapy process often results in blocking, looping, and out-of-window-of-tolerance experiences. This training is designed to equip clinicians with the tools needed to identify and respond to these challenges effectively.
Participants will:
Learn to quickly identify and differentiate between simple and complex trauma.
Recognize blocking beliefs and somatic reactions that hinder processing.
Develop client-specific resources in Phase 2 of EMDR.
Understand when to use restricted protocols for optimal therapeutic outcomes.
This training builds on the foundational learning from basic EMDR training to create a robust preparation plan for working with clients who have complex trauma histories.
